First, I am a husband and proud father of 2 awesome kids. I love my family and spend as much time with them as possible. They are and will always be at the center of my life along with my faith in Christ. As I hope you can see, I am human and have a deep desire for connection with others. I have struggled with life like you.
Ups and downs have been common and life has taken its twists and turns. Normal would be the word I would use for myself, but yet, what is normal? I want you to know that I am like you and I care about your wins and your losses because I have felt them too.
What is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist?
The title doesn’t mean I haven’t lived or struggled. It is a license. I worked hard to get the knowledge to help others. Especially those who have mental health and relationship problems. Like you, my wife and I have argued. I stress about deadlines at work and pressures at home. My son has pooped on the floor while potty training, possibly, like your kids.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I treat couples and individuals. I help them with mental health concerns and their relationship. I am trained to think about things from a systems perspective. We have systems all around us. Those systems are influencing emotions, reactions, and thoughts all the time. If we can change the systems around us, things will get better. Changing systems decreases negative influences. You will feel happier and function better.
More About me…
My marriage isn’t perfect. My life isn’t perfect. And, I am not perfect. You may be wondering why that matters. It matters because it lets you know I understand pain is normal. I want you to see me as someone who has some answers due to my training as a counselor, but I am still human and relatable.
I don’t know EVERYTHING. Yet, I know that you are going through a lot. Your pain is real and you need someone to understand it and help you through it. I have a passion for that!
Info on my career as a counselor…
I have been a counselor for over 12 years. I have helped many couples, families, and individuals like you reach their goals. YES! IT IS POSSIBLE!
Helping families grow and thrive is what motivates me.
I help couples learn the skills that contribute to healthy communication and affection. These skills will decrease negative experiences in their relationship.
HOW DO I DO THAT?
By learning from you what your goals are, I help you plan out steps to reach those goals. We define clear, practical actions to reach those steps, together. Then, I work with you each week to make those actions habits.
As you build new, healthy habits that match the direction you want to move toward, you will reach your goals! It’s that simple!

I have built a lot of experience over the years doing a variety of counseling and education. One thing I am sure of is that I have arrived at my passion to heal marriages and relationships. Do you want to know MORE about me?
Besides counseling, I enjoy spending time playing and watching sports. I enjoy watching college football. Listening to music is a relaxing, enjoyable activity that I do often. Sometimes, I will play a video game or watch a good movie. Traveling is also something I love. I try to enjoy living a full life! My favorite experience is actually two. One is watching football with lots of people cheering. The other is worshipping at church with other believers.
My OTHER passion is to see people living productive, joyful, and successful lives. Spirituality contributes to having a full life. My belief in God and his love for his creation is what sustains me. We live in a world where sin exists, but hope exists too. Yet, I work from a position of love as Jesus loves. It is important to me that I don’t push my beliefs on you. It is my desire for you to find what is true, and I want you to see that hope exists!
I want to help you. Tell me your story. Let me walk you through the story you are creating.
